Cooperation Protocol Signed Between Ahbap and AFAD
A framework protocol was signed between Ahbap and AFAD to formalise the cooperation in the field in possible disaster situations.
A protocol was signed between Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) and Ahbap Association to formalise the cooperation in the field in case of possible disasters. AFAD Deputy President Hamza Taşdelen and our President Haluk Levent attended the signing ceremony.
Speaking before the signing of the protocol, Haluk Levent talked about our cooperation with AFAD in the field in disaster situations and stated that we are ready to support at any time.
"Ahbap was one of those who did not leave us alone"
Hamza Taşdelen, Deputy President of AFAD, said, "In fact, our cooperation was already continuing very intensively in the field. We will only formalise this. The year 2020 was a bit difficult in the world, but it was a year with an extra challenge for Turkey. In addition to the pandemic, we were tested with many different types of disasters in many regions. During this test, we really had a lot of supporters with us. We have never done any work alone, we couldn't do it alone anyway. Ahbap was one of those who did not leave us alone. Thanks to them, especially in Izmir, I saw this intensely, we were together in Elazığ, but I saw this in Izmir; wherever we were lacking, Ahbap, friends who devoted themselves to Ahbap were there, and they really supported us by doing more than they could to complete that deficiency. This cooperation protocol only consists of putting the work in writing. This is a framework protocol. But in case of need in the field, they come to us saying 'where do you need, what do you need, let us complete it'. In other words, we assume a complementary and complementary role for each other. In the continuation of this framework protocol, we will continue to work together wherever and whatever is needed, God willing."
After the completion of the speeches, the protocol between AFAD and Ahbap Association was signed by Hamza Taşdelen and Haluk Levent.
